Vivekananda Institute of Technology Jaipur, also known as VITJ, is an engineering college founded in 2008 in East Jaipur, India. The university is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University and approved by AICTE (All Indian Council of Technical Education). The VIT Jaipur campus is spread across 8 lakh sq.ft. The university has excellent facilities, highly qualified faculty, and deep corporate partnerships. The Vivekananda Institute of Technology aims to develop students' physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual faculties to prepare them for a future as techno-managers.
Currently, it runs a B.Tech programme with 5 specialisations. VIT Jaipur courses are also available for lateral entry. MOOC Course Orientation to Entrepreneurship is a MOOC course developed in collaboration with NEN and Wadhwani Foundation. All students in 1st year are enrolled and attend classes two hours a week. During this online course, we'll be using learns Platform to create awareness among the participants by using Idea Generation and Opportunity Evaluation activities, Success Stories and many more.
For the first time in North Region, the Institution launched the "Vivekananda Vichar Hub" Boot Camp training to enable its students to start a business in 15 days. Afterwards, students presented their product ideas before a panel of investors. The boot camp training was organised in 2014, 2015, and 2017 with support from NEN, Progress Software, Headstart Network Foundation and Wow Labz.
The Vivekananda Institute of Technology and VGU campuses started offering entrepreneurship classes under the PMYY programme in January 2018. There are eight batches of 30 students on the Vivekananda Institute of Technology campus and fourteen batches of 30 students on the VGU campus.
During the Startup India, Stand Up India seminar organised by the EDC in 2016, startups, SIDBI's AGM, NEN's Director-Global, and TiE's President presented their views and discussed the startups.

IIM, A, RIICO, and Startup Oasis organise the Rajasthan Startup Fest every year in association with the Dean of the Institution. The VIJT conducted the Boot Camp or the preliminary round of the Ideate Student Challenge.
Periodically, the university holds a competition for students of Management and Engineering to design a business plan. In 2022, VIJT organised the Competition associated with Rajasthan Startup Festival, where 15 teams attended Bootcamp for two full days. On the third day, they presented their business plans.
VIJT organised Hackathons for students, coders, and designers in partnership with Devthon.org in 2022. The event was themed "RURAL LIVELIHOOD" and was divided into the following phases: surveying, designing the problem statement, prototyping, and showcasing.
VIT Jaipur has a legacy of providing successful placements to more than 2000 students in various national positions. As with any other Engineering college, placements and internships are an essential aspect of the Institute, and utmost importance is given to the placement cell.
Leading companies from all sectors visit the campus through invitation by the placement cell and conduct their interviews to select students to fill different positions. The main aim of the placement cell is to nurture human resources and make them capable of serving their respective sectors. The Institute strives to teach knowledge, confidence and entrepreneurship among the students so that they can become assets to the nation.
